lol. Their instruments got held up at Customs and so they're playing with borrowed gear. Fucking Argentina.

Unbelievable show. Ira Kaplan looks more and more like Garry Shandling.

Saw Neko Case for the first time couple weeks ago. She had one of the most fantastic voices I've heard in concert.

Journey/Steve Miller band

Now if someone woulda told me in 2014....

The average age of person at this show would be 22 and journey would have a young philipino singer that sounds EXACTLY like Steve Perry..

I woulda had you locked up in a mental ward

 I can't say I was a big fan of theirs until Doc took me to their first show. I've seen them three times now and each show just gets better.
The Districts! Can't say enough good things about these guys. I chatted up the lead singer, Robby, last night. Such a good guy :) They are working on new material and should be recording soon.

Dr. Dog are great live. Love em.

I haven't been to many shows lately and it makes me sad. Living in Podunk mountain town all I can see on a regular basis is shitty jam bands, blue grass and sublime cover bands.

Anything within about an hour or so of you? That's unfortunately what we have to do, too. Living in hillbilly, white trash, bible belt la-la-land doesn't offer a lot of worthwhile entertainment... Last night we drove two hours :?

Sick lineup. Hopefully Argentinean customs doesn't impound their equipment

Even the name of that festival is ironic.

Back in early May I made a trek to Nashville TN with a bunch of buds and my fiancee to see Mogwai for our first time. It was incredible. Everything about it was incredible. They were loud but very well mixed. Every tone seemed to come through with complete clarity

Last week I also saw The Flaming Lips in St Louis at a 2,000 seat venue. These guys only get better every time I see them. Nobody knows how to throw a party quite like them. The setlist covered every proper album since Transmissions from the Satellite Heart and closed with their cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Their drummer of 10+ years was recently fired, but I'm a little surprised by how much his presence wasn't really missed. In fact it opened the door for Steven Drozd to sit in on The Abandoned Hospital Ship and Race for the Prize. Something that probably wouldn't have happened if Kliph was still with the group. I also had the pleasure of taking 2 concert virgins to this show. Their faces were completely melted by the end of the 2nd song. I don't think they'll ever be satisfied by another concert ever again.
