I'm about 60 percent of the way through, and I like it thus far. I guess my only frustration is that it's a really good book so close to being a great one, and I can't really pinpoint why it's falling short as of yet.
After you are finished I’d like to know if it still fell short or redeemed itself. I read it a month or so ago.

There’s a book called Second Sleep by Robert Harris

Post apocalyptic world with no internet and no memory of it.

I suggest it to all.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

You should check out The Great Forgetting by James Renner or A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr.

I agree about the pace, it really moves and that helps suck you in. I think it gets more frantic as the narrative goes on, which is a good thing--there's lots of implied dread and worry at the beginning, and (I don't think this is a spoiler) when that actually begins to manifest, the tension shoots up dramatically. I like that I still don't really know where it's going.

There's a series? Something to watch after Man in the High Castle I guess. I'm going to start the book next.
