yeah, Kim is such a cool and well articulate dude. I love that about him, specially back in the 90s. Yes, he is trying to put it nicely but seems Vicky is that third party involved.

And fuck he gets emotional talking about Chris.

Well, Kim has been very very vocal about not having those files lately. It seems to come up at every interview he's done in the last month orso. And he did a couple!
He obviously decided to speak out and put some pressure on it.

I remember Chris saying they had 6 full songs or so.

Yeah, I remember that. It seems that they have officially recorded 6 full songs. Kim is also talking about demos thet Chris already sung on. If theyhave those files the guys 'only' need to dub their parts. Basically recreate the demo in much higher quality.

yeah me too! Storm is awesome! It's originally from their first demo '6 songs for Bruce', I think Kim still wants to release that. Nice to see that he is soo protective and dedicated to their legacy.

yeah, he is great. Storm is awesome...i love the mix, Jack Endino did a great job. And the band is on fire, specially Kim..those little licks and patterns are so good.

At the time, Storm gave me great hope for a new Soundgarden album produced by Endino.

From an interview with Kim last year, he mentioned that the band has the material that Chris demo'd but still require the full resolution files in order to fashion the album. I took that to mean that Chris had sent him mp3's of his material shortly before he died.

The fact that they have Chris' material (even in sub-optimal form) is interesting, as it means that they're likely to be building the album around it (either have done, or are currently doing) and know where the album is headed. They just need the lossless files to drop into the mix and album done.

It's definitely Chris' estate (ie. Vicky) who's holding back on the files. I get the impression she may want to just release it as solo work. That way the money ain't split 4 ways, even though the material was intended for Soundgarden. It's a shitty situation, especially as the guys ain't getting any younger.

Yeah, could take years. Who knows...

I hope Kim, Matt and Ben kinda give everyone the middle finger and get back to make music. Not as Soundgarden maybe, but still make music. They are amazing.
