Fuck off.

There is ZERO chance that this movie is worse for being crawl-less. Zero. If this movie sucks, it's because of a myriad other reasons. Whether it's good or bad has nothing to do with an opening crawl. And anyone who says differently is a fucking joke.
Every non star wars psycho review has been amazingly positive.
Except, apparently, the New Yorker and ny times.
That review was poorly written. It was basically a bunch of hot takes thrown together as paragraphs.
Speaking of, how many more Star Wars movies will we need to make before Kevin Smith's reaction is no longer a headline somewhere?

I'll never be cool Jorge. Nor do I want to be. I'm wearing this to the film tonight. And I'm fine with that :)

Even i haven't been able to avoid word that there is plenty of footage from the trailers not in the film. And I'm pretty great at avoiding this shit. But I don't want to know specific scenes yet. So that would be frustrating. I feel for you, dime.

The best part of Dime going into Rogue One tonight is that we'll get a solid 2 hours of no posts from Dime about Rogue one.

No real spoilers, but I saw the movie earlier today.

Below are some thoughts about it:

Really enjoyed it. It felt a little less grandiose than the original trilogy movies (and main episodes in general), more compact and revolved around a single story. Still it could easily be called episode 3.5. It was predictable, but mostly in a good way. There was a fun character (the robot), but he didn't go Jar Jar on us. More like a cooler macho combat brother of C3PO.

On first viewing everything made sense, and they didn't just do the same old story over again. There were several typical Star Wars plot developments, but never cringeworthy. Received a solid applause at the end.

Nowhere near as epic and great as Empire Strikes Back , but a really solid action Star Wars movie.
