I keep thinking back to 44's last WH correspondents dinner--the one where he roasted Donald savagely and did the mic drop, while Trump just took it, brooding like the Penguin-- and then I think, "he got his revenge. He got the last laugh. Obama must be beside himself." I don't even think Trump wants to be there. He just wanted payback. His ego is stroked and now he would prefer to let someone else work hard for 4 years while he plays golf and plots evil real estate plans and drops epic sound bytes and tweets.

He's just shaking things up, giving us the change we need. I am personally glad that all of the coal mines around my house are opening back up, as I haven't had to clean a layer of soot off of my house once a month in quite a long time. It gives you something to do....creates jobs.

He did not; the polling about Obama (probably from 2013 or so) is about a hypothetical strike, whereas I assume the Trump numbers are from after last week's attack.

He floated it publicly and lobbied behind the scenes for senate support, and couldn't get anybody on board...as demonstrated in the figures.
