What movies are you watching?

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

yeah Brawl is wonderful but i think Dragged Across Concrete is even better.

did a keyword search of jennifer's body just to see if it's gotten much attention here. it's hasn't but i was glad to see mick and vg also love young adult. easily the two best things diablo cody has done

Carrie (1976)
I very much enjoyed watching this, but I'm not sure how well it has aged. Quite a mixed bag of bad acting. The mother felt like a Kristen Wiig character, but also genuinely terrifying at times (hiding behind the door ). A lot of great, creative camera work, and an all-time great jump scare at the end.

All Quiet on the Western Front
A very well made war movie. Tons of incredible shots and sequences. Story wise it's one bummer after another, but that's kind of the whole point. Two thumbs up.
