i had to bail on this. i may try it again when i'm in a different mood, but it wasn't grabbing me. All its attempts at surrealism and style felt like some film school grad just cribbing from other movies. It was pissing me off.
oh my god

The Banshees Of Inisherin.

I loved the acting, specially from Colin Farrell. But the whole cast is superb. The movie itself is good enough, but i feel its trying to be more serious or complex than it really is.

legitimately interested in RM's take on the new M. Night Shyamalan, Knock at the Cabin. Especially the more cynical, less religiously inclined of you

It only felt right since she’s from the slums of NYC.

I loved it. A candidate for the top ten movies of 2013.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It seems like most people who watched it didn't like it, it got pretty bad reviews and social media is full of people making fun of specific scenes

Still hoping to watch it someday, it sounds at least interesting
You should watch it on the cinema for the correct experience. Like Avatar.

Canceled this as I have a friend in town and she doesn't want to watch Babylon

I don't think a theatrical watch is in the books for me

I went into this thinking I was gonna hate it since the synopsis is about as close to “generic euro art film” as possible, but it ended up being one of my favorite movies that year
