I dunno, Mr. Trust, it sure looked like the protesters got as close as they could but couldn't get beyond a certain point (without the extra fencing).

It all felt overly dramatic to me to further the President's narrative. I admit that securing the park is a separate matter. That said, I still hate how conveniently the timing of the clearing and the President's promotional appearance played out.

Is that what I said?

I personally have a hard time with coincidence. The fact that "orange man" as you call him was touting law and order while breaking laws and creating disorder, makes me believe the motive for the fencing was not security, but rather performance. Then, the fact that "orange man", again your phrase not mine, happened to march to the park with substantial run-blocking but "trust me, trust me, it wasn't for that purpose" again runs against my instincts.

I always leave room to be wrong... I often am, but I struggle with convenient coincidences.

Still feel like walling off the white house overkill given all that already separates & secures it.

I might be giving the protestors too much credit here, but:

It's almost as if not beating them and not running them over caused things to stay calm.

I'm failing to see the problem here?

It’s right in the tweet friend. The mob forced them away from a an officer involved shooting investigation scene.

And it seems like the video of the scene pretty much clears it all up.

What's the problem?

Something to do with the anti-police mob that just forced the investigators out of the active crime scene is one issue that stands out, at least to me. Though I am not lawyer, I do know that historically it's been important in criminal proceedings that in order for evidence to be admissible, particularly in difficult to prosecute cases where a cop is the shooter, crime scenes should not be controlled by anti-police mobs.

If we're talking about the same case, then that seems unnecessary given the man who was shot can be seen on surveillance video putting his fists up and then he approached the officer who then shot the man approaching him. Clear case for self defense (although Id prefer a taser or baton than killing someone), useless of course they felt the need to plant drugs on the dead man or at the scene and the mob disrupted that part. That would be unfortunate.
