Yes. Its still at Abbey Road. They wont even sell it to Paul McCartney even though he tried - according to Ed.

"Picture" has been going through my head all day; and while it's largely not my vibe, I do really recognise its rightful place on a record about love, legacy and age; it totally reminds me of something you might have found now-elderly couples boogying away to in the ol' dance halls, and that causes the vintage Mrs. Mills and "On My Way" to absolutely shine and continue that aesthetic; the final three songs belong together and need each other

Ed discusses the impetus for the lyric of Picture.

Long story short: Ed and his family went out to Bruce Springsteen's ranch a few years back. Went horseback riding. Ed's horse took off and he utilized his big wave surfing talents to not get thrown off.

Family rounded up for a photo after.

Bruce sent it in a frame to him for christmas some time and its hanging up at their house.

Great point re: the aesthetic sequencing at the end of the album.

i think Mills is criminally underrated here. Its an exercise in songwriting and he's running circles around everything else here. its perfectly mapped out, great story, great lyrics, the melody is incredible, and the way the song crescendos is just absolute perfection.

im in love with it.

It's my second favorite on the album after "Try."

These two, along with The Dark are the three tracks that have really stuck with me after my initial listens.

Mrs. Mills is the best song on the album. If any of you would have taken the time to read my review, you would know that and wouldn't have to debate it.

can we sticky ruddo's review so he stops popping in here to cry about it?

I'm delighted with how wrong my guess was about the RM reaction to the song and obviously if I read Ruddo's review I would have known better.

I'm surprised Ruddo's review isn't included in the Metacritic rating.

Need to get through one more work call before I can finally put this on for the first time today.

No no no, I mean the first time today.

Mills is a clinic in great songwriting. Not only does he paint a great picture lyrically the chord and lyrics weave and bend around each other in a beautiful way. Of course this is a very county and western way to write. He hasn't in the past been this successful ar painting that picture with out being abstract. The fact that picture is a piano and not a lady of the night is the pay off. This song is a love letter to music those who make it and what they use to make it with. In many ways it reminds of the song Mistress Named Music by Eric Church

my favorite moment of the album currently is how Ed hits the "No escape from....her pull of gravitation" lyric in Power of Right.
