I’ve sifted through the last 10+ pages and was left with very little material related to Dark Matter the album.

You people are hilarious

Dangerous is my favorite MJ album end to end. So many good songs on that one. The Way You Make Me Feel is my favorite MJ song though.

Rank the MJ albums…

Yeah, but we established that Michael Jackson's Bad is still a great album!

I love how a Lightning Bolt caused a Gigaton. Which then exposed Dark Matter.

I would recommend visiting The Porch for in-depth reviews of album from the UK listening crowd.

I still like these songs but I also feel like they sound like a version of Pearl Jam that exists in the Matrix. These songs won't hold up long term I don't think because they are devoid of anything emotionally significant. They will be fun workout driving playlist songs for a few months but I just really wish for the band that sounds like they are playing real drums and real guitars with simple production.
yea, im fully prepared to love this thing real hard fucking core over the summer and then ill just be legit fatigued by it and put it away. Its really brutal. Ed always likes it LOUD but this has been taken to a whole new level. I keep thinking about that quote from him saying to the band members "Just wait till you hear it"

If its loud, its awesome, for Ed. Seemingly.
I kid you not toward the end of Running I was like who would enjoy this noise? I actually like the song lyrically, Ed is not bad, but either I am old (yes) or hopefully a better-quality version will sort some of that out.
I am from the future and I think you'll find the streaming version better
I hope you're right I do like the song generally. I like loud Pearl Jam generally and I love McCready solos.

In-depth might be a stretch. I continue to scratch my head at how Pearl Jam fans can listen to a new Pearl Jam album and only be able to utter a few words about it. Do you not realize thousands of people--ok maybe hundreds--want to know what to expect for better or worse.

lol some user named mvw posted on the porch thread about the uk listening party: “do they chant “potatoes” in Running”?, which one of you did that?

If Running is not the "official second single" I wonder if we will get one at all.

Someone said it's getting ugly, two underwhelming songs and don't like the something special clip. This makes me sad. I love Dark Matter, I may actually love Running more. And the clip of SS.... I think it sounds promising me to me. I'm stoked for this album more than I have been for any album since Riot Act

Its just my opinion of what I heard and what the people around me said and someone asked my opinion and that is what i felt hearing it , lots of words have been banded around about how it will sound and what it compares to , so thats my view based on the music and how pj fans grade everything and are expecting due to the expectations. Half the album is the harder that we were told but half is soft. If you like soft then you may like 100% .
I could be wrong and i hope everyone loves all of it.
As Ed says he doesn't give a fuck if anyone likes it . So it matters not really

From the guy at the Pit who said he liked half the album.

They originally used it as a promo with Dark Matter playing so I think/assume it's still that. I have no idea why they haven't released a full video for it, though.
