I think Taylor's brilliance is how she was able to successfully morph from a pop singer into almost like a lifestyle brand, an identity group, kinda like the Grateful Dead. She's been able to understand the marketplace balance between the "I'm not like a *regular* mom" moms cutting the checks and the daughters (and Chuds) buying the product, and that has definitely shifted left in the last 10 years so she has adjusted accordingly but tactfully to not piss anyone off and maintain her power and privilege.
