I test drove an A6 recently, it was pretty nice

I have a pickup. It gets the same mileage that our minivan does and pretty damn close to the Subaru.

If you presume a mixed group, why broach political discussions that everyone already has strong feelings about?

At the very least, there are far more interesting things to talk about.

An internet forum is rather more opt in than a dinner party. Ignoring a thread doesn't have the same social costs as getting up from the table with a few of the fellas to have a separate discussion in the other room.
