The difference between them is that David O thinks he is funny and Chazzelle thinks he is the most important filmmaker of his generation. Neither is right, but Chazzelle is at least competent. Babylon's biggest issue is that it overreaches

I don't get that impression from Chazzelle at all. Babylon seems like a strong statement against that, in fact.

No opinion on David O as a person. I'm not sure I've ever heard him talk. But I still enjoy most of his movies. Haven't seen Amsterdam.

Keira Knightley feels a bit miscast, but I’ve enjoyed this. Light enjoyable movie with a good vibe and music, perfect movie to finish off my Saturday.
