woke up early, went to my mom and took the dog out for a long walk and then came back and have breakfast.

Now im working while i expect to maybe go to the pool a bit or watch Chelsea at the champions league.

Chief says the mayor is up his ass about all the property damage that was caused in my pursuit of a perp through downtown last night. I told him to tell the mayor to look at the photos of what they did to that girl before he starts whining about property damage.

Was going to catch up on some minor building repair stuff that’s apparently expected of me as a HOA board member, since the president - who was the only other board member who was not elderly and actually around - moved out… but freezing rain is currently coming down so I’ll push all that for now.

Instead, I’ll go over to our treasurer’s place this afternoon to touch base on things. Part of the convo will be me probably agreeing to be board president until August, when my two year term is up.

I was an HOA president once for a year many years ago...worst job ever..quit if you can

freezing rain doesn't come down spike; it comes down as regular rain and freezes when it hits a cold surface.

Our previous president served for like 6 years, and ended up handling like 90% of the workload (somewhat self inflicted I’d guess). A year and a half ago, he reached out to me to ask if I wanted to join the board, and was transparent that he needed help. Then he moved to Grand Rapids last month, in the middle of our new roof being installed, so all that’s left is an 80 year old owner who handles the books, and an owner who travels a ton for work - I’m pretty sure she hasn’t actually stayed at her place for more than a week total the last six months.
