You only have to wait 30 mins to rinse your mouth out, spike.

You rinse your mouth out immediately, it’s the bit that remains on your teeth - as it needs to - I’m talking about.

Theaters gotta make money somehow. That fleshlight popcorn bucket is the only thing keeping them going. Cut them some slack.

How much money do the theaters themselves make on those things? Do we know? I would have thought that the bulk of the profits go to the production/distribution companies. But I honestly have no idea.

Apparently, theaters make damn near nothing on tickets. After COVID (and probably leading up to it), less movies were coming out, and their runs are much shorter. Movie quality, in general, isn't that great right now. That's why theaters are opening souvenir stands and bars and having seats where you can order food. They don't have to share concessions with studios. Theaters apparently run on razor thin margins.

I have no hate for the popcorn buckets. I like to see them, but I'm never going to buy one.

There are four independent theaters here in the town where I live and none of them are going to have those buckets anyhow.

I'd have to drive 30 minutes and double the price of my ticket to even see a movie at an AMC theater.

I know they don't share concessions sales with studios, but aren't these buckets promos? Aren't they approved by the studios? Isn't a studio marketing thing?

How else are they going to convince people to spend $20 on substandard popcorn soaked in butter flavored liquid plastic?

Not the same ones, but Cinemark definitely sells souvenir popcorn buckets for large releases.

What if you went on a date with someone, you go back to their place, and they have a bookcase full of souvenir popcorn buckets?

I'd be like "oooooh...daddy likey!" and then ask if they wanted to do it in front of the popcorn buckets

I'd say, "Man, do I sure have an irrational hatred of those things."

This is the only acceptable answer
