They'll probably still have access to their bank accounts when they are released from detention.

Curious: do you think this technique was utilized during the BLM protests and, if so, what were some of the outcomes?
There are a lot of subtleties here, and the nature and organization of the movements is different, but yeah, for sure. (The AutoZone Umbrella Man seems one memorable likely case.) They were active in the Occupy movement as well.
Plus there's no reason to believe that the DEEP STATE is somehow reformed from what it was in every other decade since the 50s. Of course they're doing the same shit, and the increasing shakiness of the regime is only going to make them more active, not less.

These people drove all the way from California to Maryland before deciding it was time to have a good think about this

Oh weird, they're weighing the potential dangers of protesting, and deciding if the protest is still necessary given changing conditions. How crazy.

The American version of the trucker convoy makes no sense to me. You're going to protest now, after mandates have been ended or are set to end in most places? You're like 6-12 months late, guys.

It's poor timing, but it didn't seem as viable before the Canadian protests. They want to capitalize on it, but it's not a great time. Just wait for next inevitable flare-up and state overreach. It's only a matter of time.

They had a mandate protest here that ended last week..... Bunch of crazies and conspiracy theorists etc - the usual bunch. They had camped on the lawn outside parliment and were harrasing people passing by if they were wearing masks etc.... Police finally moved in on them on Wednesday and cleared them out - just found out on the weekend that my stepson's dad got pepper sprayed by the cops - made my day!

That convoy made about as much sense as well as Homer's Convoy:

The woman was apparently an animal rights protester, who was reportedly trying to make a statement related to Timberwolves majority owner Glen Taylor's chicken farm. That farm recently killed a large amount of its chickens due to a bird flu outbreak.
Her shirt read, "Glen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive."

Sen. Susan Collins was confronted with a pro-abortion rights message Saturday night when an unknown person or persons wrote in chalk on the sidewalk outside her West Broadway home in Bangor, prompting a police response.
Bangor police responded to West Broadway at 9:20 p.m. Saturday to investigate a message written in chalk on a sidewalk, Bangor police spokesperson Wade Betters said.
“We are grateful to the Bangor police officers and the City public works employee who responded to the defacement of public property in front of our home,” Collins said.
