Got Saints Row IV on Steam at a great discount.

Lots of fun, but basically like enabling god mode - makes all the vehicles and things seem a bit pointless.

Yeah, if you use vehicles in that game you're doing it wrong.

Also, Red Dead Redemption 2 might be the game that forces me to buy a console.

They have to announce it soon, right?

hahaha nice. I'm doing a Pyro build after I finish this first playthough. I'm going all strength right now.

I just came upon a really cool PvP loaciton. I think I'm around the middle part of the game.
I'm a little confused about what stats I should focus on when building my character (other than Intelligence and Faith). Google searches tend to confuse me more. I guess I will just need to explore and experiment more. I've only made it just past the Firelink Shrine.

Leveling is a bit tricky. Yeah, with a pyro build you obviously want to keep raising int/faith but dexterity is probably good to focus on as well as it increases your casting speed.

Vitality is good if you want to wear heavy armor and carry a huge fucking shield.

Also, each stat has a soft cap. When you reach the cap your returns start getting less and less. So the game wants you to play around with your build. For example, if I raise my strength to 39 my damage goes by 4 but when I raise it to 40 it only increases damage by 1.

Similar to Bloodborne (albeit there are way more categories). I'm sure there are places to grind too.

Finally got a chance to play some more Dark Souls III. Trying to get used to using a shield. I farmed a spot near the beginning to get a shield with 100% percent physical resistance. Glad I did.

That's a huge help. Great find.

It has to be an upgrade, right?

I'd love it if Nintendo decided to make a cool console again.

They should just make a true convergence between hand held and home console. That would be a game changer.

They really need third party support to gain any sort of traction in the console market.

Coming out with a legit console would go a long to gaining third party support but that's just like my limited opinion, man.

The Gamecube was a legitimate console and third parties did not support it. Nintendo does not have a good history if working well with third parties since the mid-90's.

Even if the new Nintendo console was more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One they would still be playing catch up and likely finish third in sales.

Eh, it was semi legit. It was still a step down from the playstation 2 and xbox. Those damn miniDVDs that could only hold 1.5 GB of data compared to what 5 GB or so for the DVD optical disc the playstion 2 or xbox used was a huge issue with third party developers. I remember reading how it turned off developers.
