You are hearing it differently, harmless, but you are not really hearing the atmos mix. Just a two channel version of it but its meant to be in like...5 channel?

It would be like having surround sound stereo system at home watching star wars but unplugging a few of the speakers. Maybe.

This reminds me of when I was a kid and didn't realize one of my speakers was broken; I thought the first Ramones album had no guitar on it because it's hard-panned to the right
