Because this is the first time and place you've posted on the subject.Mickey wrote:Doesn't tree_ have his own thread where he had *literally* the same debate with himself last week?
Can't his posts just be moved there and treated like Hamsterdam?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Sounds like tree has made up his open mind, so I can lock his other thread, right?
Have you seen that I admitted to have discovered there is actually systemic racism in the US today? There is systemic racism, but it isn't everywhere in every institution, and it's not an epidemic in the police, according to data.E.H. I'd say the things you're describing are exactly the actions of a drunk man. You think this guy starts fights on a regular basis? Or might his judgment have been impaired?Bi_3 wrote:He committed two acts of assault against an officer and stole a weapon from them, he was not just acting like a foolish drunkard.elliseamos wrote:He was running away from them.Bi_3 wrote: If the suspect, who had already initiated a violent confrontation and assaulted two cops and stolen a weapon from one of them, had hit the cop with the taser he would have access to a very lethal weapon and he had literally just proven he was willing to take and use a cop's weapon and had no issue with violently attacking them.
The first instinct in this situation should be: let him run, we know where you sleep, foolish drunkard.
No, it is not murder, but:Bi_3 wrote: It's a tragedy, but it's not a murder like people who should know better like Stacey Abrams have claimed, and not even close to the same realm as George Floyd.
Did you really expect him to be?Bi_3 wrote:tree, you're not helping here.
You could do us all one better and take care of it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Sounds like tree has made up his open mind, so I can lock his other thread, right?
George Floyd cooperated with Policetree_ wrote:
Also, cooperate with police or you're putting your life in danger. This should be the message. Not the lie that cops are hunting blacks in the streets.
That was a horror show. It is one incident in no way indicative that all or even most police encounters go this way. It is also not proof of an epidemic of police racism.knee tunes wrote:George Floyd cooperated with Policetree_ wrote:

you're not guaranteed to get struck by lightning if you walk outside.. but if you carry a lightning rod in a thunderstorm you're increasing your chances ... If you look at the data, this is actually a good analogyknee tunes wrote:You're correct .tree_ wrote:That was a horror show. But cooperating with police isn't a guarantee that you're not going to die. Floyd wasn't the only incident.
Also, not cooperating with police shouldn't be a death sentence.
Also this is just the cop thread. Not the racist cop thread
Fuck tree just let me posttree_ wrote:What is it, 14 million police encounters a year and 1000 deaths? Lightning strike odds
Damn, you figured this out and decided in, like, 36 hours? That's impressive.tree_ wrote:Have you seen that I admitted to have discovered there is actually systemic racism in the US today?
