It does help the scene where Beru is urging Owen to let Luke grow up.

The thing I noticed about that scene was that Beru said that he had too much of his father in him with a very joking tone, like Vader is just a rambunctious, lovable Scag.

Given how prepared and badass Beru was to defend the home base... what are the odds that we'll get a new story soon that details how they didn't actually die at the hand of those storm troopers in ANH but fought them, killed them, and escaped? Maybe those charred bodies are the storm troopers bodies and they got away in their outfits. Something like that.
