Remember the little orchestra lift when one of the characters literally says "not all men"

You have to watch it on Imax Ultra Hi-Def 3D to get the full experience. You miss a lot without the high frame rate.

i heard those were actual cornfields on screen, not CGI.

The fact that you didn't notice all the CGI tells you how good it was.

McDormand did all her own stunts (and talking) in this. Absolute legend.

I really wanted to see it but my excitement is wearing down with time.

I'm pretty sure this is a joke but just in case, I'm pretty sure the whole view from the barn out was CGI. One of the ugliest movies I've ever watched. Halfway through my girlfriend said "you know, there are no people of color in this movie," and I just kind of stared at her surprised that she would make such a vapid observation, until I realized she was making a joke about the color grading

Really enjoyed CREED 3! Michael B. Jordan wasn't kidding when he said he took inspiration from anime for the fight scene. That final fight had some really cool, dramatic, expressive moments in its filmmaking. I was almost hooting and hollering from my seat

I loved that final fight scene. It was risky, I think, but pulled off really well. Glad you liked it, too

Was Creed II also good? I thought the first was alright.

2 is good, but not really at the level of 1 or 3, IMO

Apollo Creed died before the events of Creed 1, of course. I don't think he ever met his son, so no

The thing I liked about II was that they actually tried to make the size mismatch plausible. The protagonist focuses on in-fighting and core conditioning with some wacky training techniques. Far better than "just see red, bro" or some voice in his head telling him to "dig deep" etc. Although there was probably some of that (I forget) -- it is a Rocky movie, after all.

There is always some of that. Like you said, comes with the territory

It's not perfect, of course, far from it. There are a few eyebrow-raising elements, and extremely telegraphed plot points. Remember that scene from McBain where he's sitting at a diner with his partner who is a few days away from retiring and talking about the happy life he's about to have during retirement? There's more than one scene here with that vibe
