Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I watched Game Night the other morning, and granted - I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to it, but I found it enjoyable

Trag watches SNL so I'm gonna go ahead and disregard his post explaining which parts were funny. Hope that's okay.

Game Night is fine. It's not Date Night, though.

Taxi (2015)

Iranian movie.

«Banned from making movies by the Iranian government, Jafar Panahi poses as a taxi driver and makes a movie about social challenges in Iran.»

«Director Jafar Panahi drives a cab through the streets of Teheran. The changing passengers speak out openly what is on their mind. A female teacher and a young man discuss death penalty, a bootlegger offers the new season of "The Walking Dead" and some Woody Allen movies, two old women want to transport their goldfish in a glass bowl, a young woman wants to transport her much older husband who has been injured in an accident, and a cheeky little girl explains the rules of Iranian filmmaking and her entitlement to a frappuccino.»

Terrifier. Not nearly as good as 2, but I appreciate it for what it is.

Creed III

I mean that was alright ? It’s basically the same movie all over again and that makes it boring but it did look good.

Jordan has some cool visual ideas.

2015 movies I’ve watched recently:

Steve Jobs
Spectre
Taxi
Steve Jobs: The Man In The Machine
Cobain: Montage Of Heck
Louder Than Bombs
Fast And Furious 7
The Invitation
The Intern
Forsaken
Crazy Beautiful You
Black Mass
Terminator Genisys
Fifty Shades Of Grey
Solan og Ludvig: Herfra Til Flåklypa
Staying Alive
Knutsen & Ludvigsen Og Den Fæle Rasputin
Minions

Steve Jobs probably the best one yet. Still 48 first time watches, and 36 rewatches left (including my current top 15).

Look forward to seeing it, but do think they need to think hard about doing something original if they keep making them.
