I kept my eyes closed and went to my happy place. It’s what I do at the dentist as well; only psychos sit there watching the TV on the ceiling.
and how long did it take for the molestation to end

I’ve never been put under, if that’s what you’re getting at.

I was at the dentist for a filling just last week. I closed my eyes and listened to the tunes. I'm very happy to report that my dentist has excellent taste in music and appears to take pride in his daily playlists.

I have 2 spare tickets for an upcoming Billy Bragg show which was originally meant to be in 2020 but was thrice rescheduled. The friends we were originally going with can no longer make it and as I sat in the dentist's chair, toes curled in discomfort trying to ignore my overwhelming need to swallow, I legitimately considered asking the dentist if he wanted to come along. Then I realised how fucking weird that would be considering I don't actually know the dude from a bar of soap except for the one check up visit each year. He must have had me on the good drugs that day I think.

Just back from the first annual mammogram/ultrasound and breast surgeon visit post chemo/radiation. It was all good, which is great of course, but fuck me if I don't just hate hate hate these sort of scans and tests.

Its been our life for the past 6 years and can't see it changing anytime soon of course, and we see good people and are in good hands, but shit still sucks. 2 more doctor visits/scans over the next month or so and then, all being good, hopefully another 12 months off.

The wiffey wants me to take up an offer we have to move down south of Perth for a month or so - getaway to a house in a national park near the beach for a while. I think I may look into that a little more seriously.

Good shit, Higgso.

How's the swimming at said beach south of Perth? Are you able to actually enjoy it or are you constantly bricking it due to the threat of sharks/jellyfish?

I seem to be bricking it every time I go in the ocean these days. We need to start fishing sharks again - there's too many of them out there these days.

The place we are thinking about staying is right on Goode Beach, which is near Albany. Here's a fun article about a great white attack there just last year...

Yikes. How about surf casting? You ever do much fishing off the beach?

I can never get the line out far enough. I always seem to be casting into an onshore wind.

But I do love my fishing generally and did a bit of beach fishing while we were away in South Aus. Didn't land a single thing mind you, but enjoyed the time none-the-less.

I have a deadly old 5.5m tinny with a tiller steer 40HP on the back. The thing can't be killed. I'd take that with me if we decided to go and have a play around in the bays on nice calm days.
