Same. I was getting frustrated with Dark Souls 3 due to its overly complicated upgrading/weapons system. This game is a delight.

Just not clear enough. I consult wikis and I'm still confused. I understand that is part of the appeal of the game, but I just needed a break.

I would describe the returning mechanics as refined and extremely polished/smooth. The new mechanics, driving/the hook and rope/sliding/marking enemies, add enough variety to make it feel fresh. The gunplay and climbing are fluid and have a ton of visually interesting animations.

Tell me about it. I played for 90 mins yesterday and was pretty bored the whole time. The only moments of real satisfaction are when I get a critical hit with a new/upgraded weapon. Even exploring has become cumbersome, because it always boils down to inventory management.

So glad people are finally beginning to realize that Fallout sucks

Yea I started to play fallout 4 and it just wasn't for me

I don't know how people have the time of day to finish something like that even if you wanted to

I enjoyed Fallout 4. Once every 7 years is enough of those games though.

I'm still enjoying Fallout (currently trying a run through on the new survival mode). With the Far Harbor DLC coming this week and then hopefully the official mods on PS4 in June there should be enough to keep me interested for a while.

I'm not really excited for NMS anymore. After they gave more details about the actual gameplay mechanics, it sounds insanely grindy and repetitive and boring. It just sounds like a bunch of mining for resources and being badgered by robot sentinels. That doesn't sound like fun to me, and it certainly isn't what I wanted a universe-sized exploration game to focus on.

That's why I plump for linear, story-driven games nowadays, rather than open world games - a story can entertain me in a focused way, an open world can only disappoint me with limitations.
