It is very irritating to hear that a majority of the protesters on campus aren't even students or local to the campus. I know that is the culture now, but professional protesters piss me off.

Define professional protestor. I am what one would call a townie. If I went up to UNC to join the encampment because I agreed with the students, I'd get thrown off campus for not being a student, but I wouldn't be there because someone paid me. I'm not a professional. I'm just a non-student joining the cause.

Of course, I could go stand here, just across the street from campus, all I want and protest. I doubt the Town would allow a tent, but I can stay there as long as I want and take breaks for food and sleep.

For the record, I am posting from campus right now.

They left out “after a Jewish girl was beat unconscious earlier in the day” , but this is obvious result and exactly what the encampment people wanted.. to trigger retaliatory violence to justify their violence and these dumb fuck pro-Israeli protestors fell right into that trap. Just like the war in Gaza. Everyone there on both side of the fight should be in jail for the next 72 hours and every student on campus that day should sue the ever loving shit out of the university.
