It all started when Kroeger claimed that his band, Nickelback, makes extremely diverse music. “I can’t think of another band that’s as diverse as we are. I can’t. Kroeger then said that Stone Sour sounds like “Nickelback Lite” and that Taylor has said some “really nasty things” about him in the press. (In a 2002 interview, Taylor called Nickelback “fucking pretty boys” and referred to Kroeger as “Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.”)

Yeah, it's really annoying actually. I've been to some electronic (mostly ambient or minimal type electronic shows) where the musician is actually mixing things live on stage, and recreating the songs in the moment. But unfortunately, with the software getting easier and easier and more prevalent, you do get the "DJs" who literally do just push play on a laptop and then flail around. It's more of creating a party and being an MC than a musician.
