« When millionaire James King is jailed for fraud and bound for San Quentin, he turns to Darnell Lewis to prep him to go behind bars.»
Always thought this looked silly, but here we go.
Not the greatest comedy in history, but there are some good laughs here.

True Story
«When disgraced New York Times reporter Michael Finkel meets accused killer Christian Longo - who has taken on Finkel's identity - his investigation morphs into a game of cat-and-mouse.»
Feel strongly like I’ve seen this before, I must have, but have forgotten to log or rate it in any way. Will finish rewatching it later.
Watched The Night Before instead. Mediocre Christmas comedy.

Well this was certainly a mixed bag. I loved the scenery and the score, and more than a few moments and scenes. But there was too much that was just inconsequential. Kris Kristofferson's character grew less interesting as the movie went on. Something about Walken's just seemed out of place. It really seemed like Cimino didn't know what story he wanted to tell.
Before I even knew about all the controversy and production history, something drew me to wanting to watch it. Maybe it was the poster and/or title. I'm glad I did, but can't see myself wanting to watch it again.

Magic Mike XXL
«Three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, he and the remaining Kings of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last blow-out performance.»
Will finish the weekend with this movie.

I think this is right on, though I liked Walken in it

I want to re-watch The Deer Hunter now.

I will add it was cool to see a young Mickey Rourke. And despite the voice I did not realize the Captain was Terry O'Quinn.

Mickey Rourke showing up also surprised me, haha. I recognized him at least

I'm leaning Exodus... I just can't believe it's as bad as people say - look at that cast

Exodus is mediocre but kinda interesting. Gucci was a trainwreck, but worth watching for Leto's terrible performance alone.

Also, below on Willem Dafoe from wikipedia...I'm not sure if that's the cut I watched, but I didn't notice him.
He made his film debut in Heaven's Gate (1980), but was fired during production and was uncredited despite one of his scenes making it into the final cut of the film.

Exodus Gods and Kings was pretty good. I really like Bale and Edgerton and they were both great as usual. It dragged a bit in the middle but it started and ended strong.
