Re: NBA Thread
“I don’t need any extra motivation,” James said Sunday, per Northeast Ohio Media Group’s Joe Varndon. “I think our guys love it. Our guys love the fact that we’ve been counted out and come into the series being an underdog. They’re pretty much saying that especially after Kyrie got hurt and the series was over.
“... My motivation is to make sure my guys are ready and prepared every night we step on the floor. And I have some other motivation that I won’t talk about right now, but I have so many different things to worry about than being an underdog or guys counting us out.”
There are plenty of obvious reasons why James hungers for another championship, but whatever this so-called secret motivation is, it’s apparently working. James is averaging 41.5 points, 12 rebounds, and 8.5 assists through the first two games of the Finals. Odds are good the Cavs will require three more heroic performances out of him if he is going to deliver a title to the championship-starved city of Cleveland.
James noted that if he can in fact accomplish that formidable feat, he'll let everyone know what the motivation was, saying, "I hope we win so I can tell y'all."

That has worked for him. Think about it, game winning corner three in game four against the Bulls with me in attendance. That cant be a coincidence.

I'd love for GS to win but I don't think this series is even going back to the west coast.

It has to. Only one more game in Cleveland then back to GS. If cavs win both home games they are only up 3-1zeb wrote:I'd love for GS to win but I don't think this series is even going back to the west coast.

I mean surely the Cavs are about to melt down and the Dubs will start hitting ridiculous shots, right? ...well there goes half the lead. Okay, everything is getting back to right in the world.
