Baller
I really enjoy every release from Isbell, both before and after getting clean, as well as his work with the Truckers but Southeastern is nearly flawless to me.Ms Harmless wrote:I'm getting really into this guy
I still haven't clicked with any songs as much as "Traveling Alone" and "Cover Me Up"; both songs make me cry, absolute magic
My favorite artist. Love Traveling Alone and Speed Trap Town.Ms Harmless wrote:I'm getting really into this guy

Southeastern seems to be a big favorite for a lot of fans. It's really solid but I still prefer several other records to that one.oasisfan35 wrote:I really enjoy every release from Isbell, both before and after getting clean, as well as his work with the Truckers but Southeastern is nearly flawless to me.Ms Harmless wrote:I'm getting really into this guy

He's one of the few artists left on my list to see live.Strat wrote:I was going to say that utilizing mccready so little as they did was maybe a mistake, but then i quickly remembered that isbell is PHENOMENAL guitarist.
Isbell is probably top 5 artist for me. Really doesnt put out much stinker work. All solid and his band is fantastic. Always a great show.
Like taking in a live show or listening at all? If it's the latter, did you happen upon any of his time with the Drive-By Truckers?wease wrote:I’ve been seriously thinking about giving him a try
If you haven't listened to Jason Isbell before, you need to make it a priority. Dude is legit. One of my favorite artist out there.wease wrote:I’ve been seriously thinking about giving him a try
