I was no 2017, but I had a good time watching this one.
There’s something about his delivery that just makes me chuckle damn near every time.

He’s doing a lot of Emo Phillips paraprosdokian sort of stuff in this one that feels like a new approach for him.

I was the opposite. First half had me in tears. I had to tour old folks homes a few years ago when my stepdad was declining, and Louis’ material was spot on. One of those impossibly awful life situations where you do just have to darkly laugh.

Other highlight was his impression of waking up each morning. I’m ten years younger than him, but some mornings I’m not far off from that. Ugh.

I saw this set in September and watched to see if anything changed. Nothing that I can recall. It’s not his best work, but there are still some great bits. The part about torture is my favorite - just that little thing he does with his thumb and forefinger. He’s not wrong.

Yeah this was the part that really got me. I’m laughing right now just thinking about it.
