This episode was great and shows me they should have gone with another season of Mando that contained a single episode or two covering all the Fett material in Book. Well shot, well acted, good effects work, and well-balanced tone. This is small screen Star Wars at its best.

We’ll see if the rest of the season convinces me otherwise about Fett. Was this episode the damage-control result of them realizing they had a creative fuckup in progress with Book?

When the BD droid showed up, I half-expected to see Cal walk around the corner after it. That would’ve really flipped everyone’s shit.

Major feels with the Mandalore flashback.

I dug this line: “Persistence without insight will lead to the same outcome.”

I LOVE that the Death Star trash compactor pole from New Hope now has a name and purpose. (I don’t know what it says about me that I instantly recognized what it was…)

Only downside of this episode is that I now have a new toy to buy to add to my way-too-large collection of Star Wars stuff. The shakedown flight was a great way to inject nostalgia without beating you over the head. (Other than “Wizard.” That can stay dead and buried.)

Okay, maybe it was a little over the top but I loved it.

The kid x wing pilot was the guy who was body stand in for Luke in that mando episode.

Guess we’ll be seeing him again next week.

Oh baby, this was great. Just solidifies that fact that Mando is way better than Boba Fett.

That ring city in space was awesome. And I hope this foreshadowed what Mando season 3 will be about:

The writing has w bit of a disconnect. Why after Bo Katan AND boba enlightening him on the mask and the extremist of it all is he still following that doctrine?

That flashback scene was very Terminator-esque. I loved it.

It was terrifying.

Found it odd they didn’t mention bo katan designed that weapon that the empire took and used to destroy mandalore. That’s why she’s persona non grata on mandalore

Agree with everything here. Loved this basically being a Mando episode, loved that city. Great episode.

This was a great episode of The Mandoalorian.

Yeah this did feel like they were seeing negative feedback or something about Book of Boba Fett and just said "lets pull this Mando episode and film a little scene at the end with Fennec and throw it in because people love Mando".

But I'm glad they did. It was awesome.

Yeah it was a bold move to put an episode of their good show in the middle of their shitty show.
