Radahn is easy if you summon the NPCs and use the dragon rot breath whatever it's called
I'm still powering through on my NG+ speedrun just doing side quests i missed or goofed on my initial run. I still haven't hit much resistance and it feels like god mode. I'll try to finish up this run but i'm thinking the same thing as you, put the game away for a good while and come back once i've forgotten most of it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Saw all of the endings (via save states) and earned the platinum last night. I do plan to have a NG+ run, but I'll take a long break away from the game before getting to it.
I'm still on my first playthrough and am feeling semi-godlike already (all that rune-farming early on helped). Dung Eater has really made some of the boss fights trivial.mf wrote:I'm still powering through on my NG+ speedrun just doing side quests i missed or goofed on my initial run. I'm pretty sure i did it with dragon rot and the mimic tear summons. Torrent was key too. I kept my incantation seal in my right hand so i could cast from horseback and would just ride in, hit him with a blast and ride off. Basically just keep your distance and let the DoT do it's magic.tree_ wrote:What is the best way to beat Fire Giant? I inflict dragon rot breath on him, and try to get in more attacks when he starts the second phase, spewing fire at me, and he ends up one hitting my with that shield every time
how do you avoid his long distance snow pound attack? it kills my horse everytimemf wrote:I'm pretty sure i did it with dragon rot and the mimic tear summons. Torrent was key too. to be honest i can't recall fight exactly, but I think he was mostly focusing his aggro on my mimic tear and I didn't have much trouble getting in for attacks. I may have waited for his 2nd phase before summoning the mimic. If you play smart and don't really take much damage other than on that AoE attack, you can probably just save all your flasks to revive Torrent if/when you do get hit.tree_ wrote:how do you avoid his long distance snow pound attack? it kills my horse everytimemf wrote:I'm pretty sure i did it with dragon rot and the mimic tear summons. Hit him with a healthy dose of Comet Azur when his second phase begins (right after he leans forward and pauses). If your intelligence and casting weapon are leveled high enough, you can take off a good chunk of his health bar in one go of it.tree_ wrote:Yes. What magic attack do you recommend?
As far as sorceries go, Loretta's greatbow and Comet Azur have great range. Night Comet is good at medium range. I'm doing my NG+ playthrough with an INT build and those are my 3 main magic spells and they can be devastating. My first playthrough i had a Faith/Arcane build so i could make use of the dragon incantations, but i didn't have the stats to use any sorceries at all and had to make do without a good ranged option. Could be worth a respec if you want to dabble in sorceries and don't have the build for it.tree_ wrote:Yes. What magic attack do you recommend?
About to be replaced by Rivers of Blood as soon as I snag some more smithing stones to get it to +10.Ensign9 wrote:I probably shouldn't admit this but I'm still using one of the first weapon drops I ever got in the game. A plain jane longsword upgraded to +21.
