Re: Albums of 2022
Yeah I think we've talked about them a few times here. My brain just associates the two because of the dry/wet, and Leg in the album title.

You're also right. The Dry Cleaning record is better.

Re: Albums of 2022
Very simple run down for a very simple album:
Being in Love: meh
Chaise Longue: I get a different reaction every listen - sometimes I love the simplicity, sometimes I am repelled by its stupidity. I think this is a good thing?
Angelica: excellent song
I Don’t Wanna Go Out: meh
Wet Dream: clever
Convincing: meh
Loving You: meh
Ur mum: also clever
Oh No: enjoyed this one
Piece of Shit: meh
Supermarket: enjoyed this one
Too Late Now: very good
Not as negative as my first impressions but not really worth the hype. It is very good in spots, the shtick does get a bit tired straight through. I do think I might prefer Anthony Keidis singing that China in on the derk side of the moon in a fake Irish accent though.

We say things are a bop now, Mickey. Deal with it.

Re: Albums of 2022
this one popped up in my spotify recommendations today. i hit play, and i like what I've heard so far. the lead singer has a very "fit for 90s music" voice...he kind of reminds me of Jay Farrar a little.epilogue wrote:But seriously listen to Bummer Year by Good Looks. Such a great little record. I'm super into it.

Re: Albums of 2022
I think if the record was longer, I might have issues with it. But at 30 minutes, it's fucking perfect. A real nice surprise, out of nowhere, record for me. I've listened several times and it's got legs!dad wrote:this one popped up in my spotify recommendations today. i hit play, and i like what I've heard so far. the lead singer has a very "fit for 90s music" voice...he kind of reminds me of Jay Farrar a little.epilogue wrote:But seriously listen to Bummer Year by Good Looks. Never been a fan of "slaps" as a slang term either.

"Slaps" is fine for music, not so much for film.
