Is there a 2nd tour video with different music? I've only found the one you can see on the tour page

it's a different video, but it's the same portion of a song you've already heard:

I hope the rest of the song is as cool as that.
It sounds totally different from what you'd expect from Pearl Jam. Stone hinted at that type of experimentation in an interview earlier this spring, and based on what we're hearing, this seems to be pretty spot on.

Matt sounds awesome on that clip too.

It's pretty ordinary otherwise.

sure. but that's almost all their music. They aren't innovators. They are synthesizers.

I was really hoping for an official release of this show. My first ever....18 years from yesterday...

To some extent, it's going to sound predictable if it's 'rock music'. I don't expect originality.

I didn't even think Ten was original when I first got it.

It really wasn't. But it was released at the perfect time, where it was embraced by millions of jilted and brooding generation X teenagers that needed a reason to be angry at their parents.

Well, that's how it was for me anyway.

context context context - it was definitely different and more original than anything else that was popular at the time.
we didn't have the internet to explore and share new music on- we had radio stations and MTV... and that consisted of our siblings music mostly from the 70s (if you were me, and grew up where I did anyway) on the radio, or Winger/Ratt/bad pop type music on MTV.
that's it.
until Nirvana and Pearl Jam came around (and all other subsequent bands of that genre) there was nothing terribly exciting going on unless you could tap into the underground music scene - which, again - was highly dependent on where you lived (at least in the US) and what you had access to - without the internet there wasn't much...
