Was a part of a client meeting last week, and our team was asked to add someone to the meeting from their side. After about 15 previous meetings, had never heard of this person til then. Looked them up on LinkedIn, and their listed job title at the company was “change agent”. Immediately marked my meeting invite as Tentative

We had some kind of art director guy come in and throw his weight around like he was Scorsese or something and trying to change everything. In about a week everyone hated him. There were some layoffs a month later, and he was sent packing.

not since the restaurant industry days.

I like most of the people I work with these days. No need to yell. I just make snide remarks lightly mocking certain decisions.

When they fired my old boss and gave me his job, they had me reporting up to a change agent. So I then became the change agent liaison to my staff. Looking back, part of why I moved on; it was definitely like pushing a boulder uphill.

Currently engaged in something similar here. Have been pushing a big project since January, and really in earnest since April. People are coming around and there are clear indications of support, but there's one entrenched person who has assumed the role of skeptical gatekeeper and it's grinding my gears.

Same. I’ve been incredibly blunt with some manager, and got into it a few times with my own. I expect my mouth will get the best of my one day though.

Haha, we had a guy we called the lawyer, cuz he’d fight everything in meetings. My advice, fire the guy.

God I hate biweekly department meetings. All it ends up being is one person co-opting the meeting and our Director mentioning stuff she should have told some of us on an individual basis a week ago.
