Incredible!!!
I may have just made peace how the song sounds, rather than how I'd like it sound, but this bugged me less when I listened to the song today.Birds in Hell wrote:Though I enjoyed the album a lot more on my last few spins, I still struggle with this song; not because I don't like it but because I do and I find some of the production and performance choices kind of a bummer.
'I could have liked this song if the others didn't suck so much'? Wait, does that even make sense?Heathen wrote:I thought I'd like this one after reading these comments. I mean maybe if I had listened to this song on its own I might have liked it more, but after going through that shitstorm I just wanted the album to be over already and that probably didn't much good to my appreciation of what came after.Lounge Lizard wrote:'I could have liked this song if the others didn't suck so much'? Well, man, you just went from weird to downright crazy with this 'clarification', but whateverHeathen wrote:I mean maybe if I had listened to this song on its own I might have liked it more, but after going through that shitstorm I just wanted the album to be over already and that probably didn't much good to my appreciation of what came after.Lounge Lizard wrote:'I could have liked this song if the others didn't suck so much'? It's 'crazy' that when a part of an album bores/displeases you a lot you're gonna be in a less favorable mood for the remainder of the listen? Guess I'm crazy then.Lounge Lizard wrote:Well, man, you just went from weird to downright crazy with this 'clarification', but whateverHeathen wrote:I mean maybe if I had listened to this song on its own I might have liked it more, but after going through that shitstorm I just wanted the album to be over already and that probably didn't much good to my appreciation of what came after.Lounge Lizard wrote:'I could have liked this song if the others didn't suck so much'? Wait, are you talking about Backspacer? LB is pretty good. I mean, not No Code good, but there are some nice little ditties on this one.Bob Loblaw wrote:The only song worth something in this awful, awful record.
I think "nice little ditties" might be the problem for poster Bob Loblaw.darth_vedder wrote:Wait, are you talking about Backspacer? LB is pretty good. Ah, I see. He's looking for the Bob Loblaw Law Bomb, and this album just doesn't have it.harmless wrote:I think "nice little ditties" might be the problem for poster Bob Loblaw.darth_vedder wrote:Wait, are you talking about Backspacer? Right.darth_vedder wrote:Is it just me or is anyone expecting this song to be in a future Tarantino movie?
I know this is a convo for another thread, but if you listen on an ipod, with 320kbps AAC, with decent (not Apple) earbuds, can you tell a difference between 320 AAC and Lossless / FLAC? Is there much difference between Lossless and FLAC? Are the differences worth the extra space?evenslow wrote:Listening to this flac-style for the first time with headphones. Jeff's bass =![]()
It sucks that most people will listen to some dumpy ass 256 and never even hear it.
