I made a pretty amazing sausage dressing this year that included leeks, mushrooms, fresh sage, fresh thyme. It was a hit. Except my Mother in Law because she was irritated at me and my stepson for something earlier in the day, so she didn't even try it, lol.

She snips at everyone if things aren’t going perfectly. I wasn’t the only one, just the one closest to eating time. She made my wife cry so that was awesome. I thinks she’s is having some decline over last year. It was pretty obvious this trip, so i think everyone is more worried than offended. Two of her four kids didn’t even come this year because of it.

Australian Thanksgiving went great. Except the turkey took twice as long to cook on the egg, so the natives were getting a restless. We finally ate around 4pm.

My BIL also has an egg, so I’ll never hear the end of this.

My sister in law made a test pumpkin basque cheesecake in prep for Thanksgiving. It’s amazing.

Considering switching back from frying the turkey to roasting it this year, but I think if I do that I’ll butterfly it first to try and get close to the crispy skin I got from frying. It looks relatively easy from the Test Kitchen article…famous last words…
