I'm glad to see Braun there. I wonder how he'll try to wiggle out this time around.
Melky and Colon are complicated. Melky was suspended for using steroids in 2012. Isn't it a bit backwards to no suspend him for
buying drugs in 2011? Sounds a little double jeopardyish, but who knows. Also, apparently Gio only bought legal substances, and there are still some players who were on the list under code names, so that should be interesting.
I think it's pretty obvious that Bautista and Ellsbury will end up list.

Braun is innocent. You guys don't like him because he's jewish.

Ryan Braun will find some other Fed Ex driver to pin this on I'm sure.
There's full of shit, and then there's Ryan Braun who is just below Rodger Clemens when it comes to lying. Rodger of course threw his own wife under the bus.
That said, I find it hard to believe that they can suspend anyone based on hearsay evidence from a guy who is basically testifying to get himself off the hook.
MLB is going to need some positive tests and some really really good Fed Ex personnel.

That's what I've been saying. How can you suspend someone for name being written on a piece of paper? It makes no sense.
And fuck you guys anyway. Braun already proved last year with his second MVP performance that he doesn't need it.

Can they suspend Melky again for this? He already served 50 games, didn't he?

2nd offense is 100 games. I'm not sure what the 3rd offense is, perhaps death or a contract with Houston.

Like I mentioned before, he was suspended in 2012 and this new stuff was purchasing drugs in 2011. Seems ridiculous to think he could be suspended again for this.

im pretty sure, ive never defended him, and pretty much said hes guilty as fuck plenty of times already idiots
that being said, theres no way this is just going to be a simple "this guy Bosch says you did drugs, your suspended"
guaranteed counter law suits from both Braun and A-Rod if MLB tries anything like that.
and its reported that they will suspend those two at least for 100 games?
50 for having proof they bought something from this guy Bosch? and 50 for lying to MLB that they bought something from Bosch?
I mean just look at a picture of Bosch? if youre directing a movie, and you say "get me a shaddy character to pose as a drug dealer..." Bosch is exactly that guy (he looks like he was an extra in Scarface LOL)
and as Electromatic said, this guy Bosch, is only know going to "admit" what he knows, because he can no longer afford to defend himself from the lawsuit MLB had on him (that from what the experts said, they had no real shot of winning) This guy is a baby step away from Jose Canseco in the cred department.
and, while im at it? how the fuck does MLB have the power to guarantee he wont get prosecuted by the Feds???
the whole thing is just beyond insane.

Didn't you call him "innocent" after he got off on a technicality the last time he got caught?

nope... ive said since before he even got busted, he fits the mold of someone who would look for a short cut to stay on the field.
but it seems about right, he got off on a technicality so baseball will just suspend him anyway on word of mouth?
anyone who thinks thats going to happen without a counter law suit and a whole lotta legal mess... is dreaming

It doesn't matter if the 2nd event they catch happened before the first event. If they're two separate incidents it's two offenses.

I get what you're saying, but the thing is when he was suspended for using steroids then it can be safely assumed that he was purchasing steroids. He was punished for his violation and they have now discovered where he (allegedly) was purchasing said steroids from. He's (potentially) getting punished on both sides unlike everybody else who has been suspended for steroids even though everybody who used must have purchased them as well. But this isn't a double jeopardy issue or anything else. MLB is a private organization and can choose to punish its members however they see fit within their legal rights. But I don't like it, and suspensions based off this guys testimony seems absurd to me but what do I know, I always side with rights of the accused.

We're getting a little ahead of ourselves here.
Braun was caught with 20 times more T than he should have had in his blood 4T elevation is a violation and he got out of it.
That's a positive test.
This is so far hearsay and the words of a very shady character cooperating out of his own best interest. (and he may have tried to extort A Rod)
Until MLB actually issues an edict and the Union and players lawyers shoot holes in it, this is just fodder for ESPN to draw eyes to itself. This is much ado about nothing.
This will probably be open all summer. I wouldn't be suprised if MLB is upset all this information got out so early.
Still trying to understand why the Yankees paid ARod what they did, he's not even interesting to watch anymore and that was before this absurd contract. Everyone, just wishes he would go away.

Yeah, that's my whole point though. Like 4/5 said, they aren't necessarily two separate incidents. He was suspended for using drugs, now they have proof (sort of) that he purchased them. If he gets suspended again then everyone who's ever used steroids should automatically be suspended twice.

But you did say this:
MadTIGERmaN wrote:
so Braun offered a DNA test, and thats not considered questioning the sample?
and he passed a lie detector test
that sounds like someone who had nothing to hide and was pretty confident in his innocence if ya ask me. I might be leaning more towards the believing him...
