stopped in play it again sports the other day to check out some discs, and say one in the used bin that looked like it was made offset or something, the lip on the inside was twice a thick on one side as the other, was it purposely made that way or was it a defect? cuz they still wanted like 15 bucks for it used, i dont remember what it was called though

It was probably an Epic and you don't want it.

Probably anything except what you want it to do.

Pretty much. Some guys that throw a lot of overhead, thumber shots seem to get good distance with it but other than that, I've never seen good results from throwing one.

I've seen a few people that know how to throw one, I've thrown one once, thumber. For that shot just get something like a Talon, Firebird or my favorite stupid overstable The Flick.. I've also used a XXX but not as much lately since mine is getting beaten in. Epics are fun to throw as long as you are young and your shoulder can handle the stress.

Have y'all bought in to the whole Swedish/Finnish plastic thing?

Thoughts?

The plastic I have from scandinavia is pretty sweet. :nice:

It's the archer not the arrow though, and I'm pretty happy with all the arrows in my bag at the moment so I'm not trying much of the new stuff. The fuse is the only swedish disc that's still in my bag and it's solidly in there. Love it. It's all pretty plastic though and I do have a bunch at home that I don't currently use.

only about an hour and a half till i get out there for another round, this clock needs to start moving faster.

anyone have any advice on putting style? or is it all just what feels comfortable to each person? i found myself standing kinda facing basket and was kinda finessing it too much, so i started standing more with my right shoulder pointing at the basket and throwing it a bit more like a longer distance shot, and ive gotten better results from that, but if i miss i am throwing it a bit harder so when i miss i end up leaving myself with longer shots, so im not sure if im on the right path or not

man, putting's such a head game. there's some great online stuff to get you started, but it all comes down to finding something comfortable with you and establishing a routine.
