a mate from London moved here and said he felt the cold more than in London because their house isn't insulated and has no heating.

this is absolutely true. in 2009, i spent a few months there during late fall/early winter and was freezing whenever indoors; had to wear a fleece. here, central heating is a must in the winter and you walk around your house in shorts and a tshirt.LetMeSleep wrote:a mate from London moved here and said he felt the cold more than in London because their house isn't insulated and has no heating.

So despite this traditionally being a warm weather, Hawaiian dish, this turned out really well and is also enjoyable in a cool fall day. And I'm happy to report that the slow and low heat of the crock pot did not make the house too warm.
