Presence is generally underrated as an album, and while Achilles Last Stand is very much a beloved song though also similarly criticized as bloated, the gemon here that I like that doesn’t get much air is Tea For One. A beast of bluesy rock.

sometimes i still cant believe how good Jones and Bonham were. I mean the whole band of course, but those two...what a fucking well oiled machine.

As I just said in another thread, Presence is their best album IMO. Front to back perfect. I love that 100% of the focus is just on raw, electric stuff with no deviation. Really complex and interesting songwriting too.

I had my moments with Presence at or near the top of my list, but over time it sort of meanders down the list. Never at the bottom but frankly, there’s about 5 or 6 of their albums that are pretty untouchable.

It’s hard to argue against it

I mean, I can’t think of an album offhand where the drums sound better than on Physical Graffiti. Dude banged those things into the Earth’s core on that one.
I also like the chiller vibe of III, the epic IV…

Presence is their weakest album.
That wasn't hard.

Presence is definitely the Zeppelin album I play most often these days. I love an album that just picks a lane and owns it, and Presence is definitely that.
