Yeah, I loved S1 & S2 but gave up on S3 a few episodes in. Debating on whether to watch it before starting S4. Anyone know if you need to watch 3 before 4?

No. 1&2 are the most closely related, but not even those two depend on the other. All the seasons take place in the same universe, but they tell different stories and don't depend on each other. Go ahead and watch four with us and catch up on 3 later, I think that's fine. 3 is worth looking at eventually, though, if you like the show generally

though not having seen 4, i agree with argo

3 was odd for me...i like the mysterious elements of it, and really have no complaints...i wouldn't even say it was missing something or that it felt at arm's length...i definitely enjoyed it, but i'm just not sure how to define why

I enjoyed the last episode (3) more than the first two but still can't say I'm all in yet.

The first two eps were fine but we haven't watched the 3rd yet. It's been over a week now. The longer I go the less interested I am in continuing. If it were called Kansas City Crime Story would I be watching it? Probably not.

Finished up our re-watch (My wife's first time through) of S1 - S3. Ready to start S4. Hopefully we'll start it tonight.

I will say that upon rewatch, I'm ready to say that S3, though excellent, is the least of the seasons, so far. I think if I was going to rank them, I'd rank them in the order they came out.

S1
S2
S3

2 episodes into S4.

I love how different this show is from season to season.

I love the little Fargo movie references when I catch them. In yesterday's episode, when confronted by his worried wife over the money at the end, Andrew Bird says "I've got to put my foot down here" exactly the way William H. Macy says it at one point in the movie, intonation and everything

Just started this tonight with the first episode. Billy Bob is quite the instigator isn’t he?

The past couple episodes have been pretty good; I probably should be paying closer attention to the show than I have been. Feels like I've been only half-watching; there's a couple series I've done that with lately.

Finally watched Ep 1 of Season 4. A little slow in parts, but a solid start. Already like it more than Season 3, so that's encouraging.

If the show isn’t drawing you in, that ain’t your fault.

The latest episode was the strongest one yet; I didn't expect it to end like it did and I'm sure the repercussions will bleed into the next few episodes.
Chris Rock did his best work in the series so far too.
A standard hour episode next week.

We’re into season 2 now. I love how the two seasons are tied together. And Ted Danson! Fuck yeah!

I did not! What a surprise. Thanks for that.
