I don't know what Jurgen does in that locker room at half time, but whatever it is, it's working. They were pretty awful in the first half, look great in the second half.

It shocks me how good this team has been playing. This is better than I expected when they hired Klinsmann, and just light years ahead of where I thought they'd be a year ago.

It wont get any pub because it didnt amount to anything, but Jozy just made an insane, no angle pass to Johannson.

Team looked a lot more comfortable in a 4-4-2, plus Eddie Johnson is not a wide midfielder. So maybe Johnson moving up top had more to do with the 4-4-2 succeeding. Obviously, I was very impressed by Jozy; and that Johanssen kid from Iceland looked very good, very technical. He has the type of skill and mentality that I think will mesh very well with Jozy up top in attack.
John Anthony Brooks looked talented too, very high ceiling for that kid. Jermiane Jones looked rough all game long though. The guy is such a hot and cold player. So strange. I really don't think Jones and Bradley play well together, Bradley finally started to join the attack after Jones went off.

Jones and Bradley dont play well together because they have very similar games that dont mesh, Jones is basically a poor man's Bradley.

Playing time begets playing time when it's used well.
I was disappointed with Klinsmann because I had not seen what I had hoped that he could do, namely develop another scorer and give the US more punch. He's clearly done that now with Altidore.
If Sunderland don't afford him opportunities when he's clearly playing the best ball of his life, then that's on them.

So Villa stole 3 pts from the Arse. Thanks a lot, we'll need those points.
