I'm sorry to reduce the discussion to this but that's bullshit. It's a horrible song that sounds forced and choked. But I prefer Unthought Known so what the hell do I know. In fact I'm going to play those two back to back and report back. This may make me angry.stip wrote:It's a masters class in anthem writing.durdencommatyler wrote:I mean, I'm not above the sufer-dewd lyrics (AtW, Big Wave, these are fantastic songs in my book) but LB isn't even layered. And it's no more a surf song than RVM is a song about driving habits
Is it though? You think this this the strongest anthem this band has produced? You're really saying the song Lightning Bolt is better than Alive, Even Flow, Rearviewmirror, Given to Fly, Corduroy, and Betterman?stip wrote:It's a masters class in anthem writing.durdencommatyler wrote:I mean, I'm not above the sufer-dewd lyrics (AtW, Big Wave, these are fantastic songs in my book) but LB isn't even layered. No seriously. This is more of a surf-song than Gremmie Out of Control. Think about that.durdencommatyler wrote:No true. It's the exact opposite.
