i was looking at the burner 2.0s and the rocketballz for some of the lesser expensive good sets, but i was also looking at the rocketblades as well which are a bit over my price range and ive seen people talk about a nasty clicking sound that they make when you make good contact. im pretty sure anything i get will be much better then what i have since the last new set i bought was back in like 95 and the irons started to break about 7 or so years ago so ive been using hand me downs since, but i seem to find somehting i do and dont like about everything as im reading so im just looking for opinions on stuff people have used.

what are you hitting at the moment?

the 2 sets I play the most are both about 10-12 years old and I love them to death





taylor mades always seem to have that clicky sound

i plan on playing this weekend and making at least one par

i have read that the ones with out the cavity on the back are more for the players that are able to move the ball around and the ones with the cavity are more for the players that are just trying to hit the ball high and straight, does that sound right to you or do i have that wrong?

without getting technical, yes for the most part. Blades are usually harder to hit flush because of such a small sweet spot and are normally played by better players..That being said, so many pro's now can be seen playing cavity backs but they are of the variety that you will never see on the shelf at a golf store..again, I'm in the camp of playing what looks good to you and that you can actually hit well on a consistent basis..I grew up playing blades and prefer them to cavity backs..I have 2 sets of cavity that just sit and collect dust that I have friends use when they come to visit..all good clubs but its a preference for me..I think Lenny plays with ladies clubs

i dont know why but i also think lenny hits the ladies clubs.

i think this PJ tour announcement might have helped me make up my mind on the clubs, not sure if ill be able to afford $500 or so if we see multiple shows so i might be looking harder now at the burner 2.0s or something in that price range, or i may hold off on buying for a bit longer

i had senior clubs for the longest...i bought a used set of adams on ebay around Christmas...i know i suck but they probably suck too

I'd destroy all of you at Super Stickman Golf 2.

No one around here seemed to have them in stock but i decided on the Taylormade rocketballz irons, 4-AW with the regular flex steel shafts. I ordered them today so i hope to have them by next weekend.

Definitely looking forward to getting to the range and possibly getting a round in if the make it in this week.

It will be my first non captains choice round in a few years so it might be ugly but we will see
