Both. The DP is wonderful but there were good ideas and she is also responsible for how good it looks. Lots of great sequences and framing too.

yeah, that was awful. The whole movie is just boring and unrealistic. Even the soundtrack is...so weird.

I liked it too. Also it didn't strike me as any less "realistic" than any other high school comedy I've seen. In fact, having two teenage little siblings, a lot of its beats rang true to me. I showed them the movie and they loved it

Saw Woman of the Hour today. Anna Kendrick is a good director. She shoots like a total cinephile. Very weird title for that movie though
