Ill dig into that stuff my next night alone.
I have a custom Fuzz that the guitarist from the Stone Foxes built for me. it is super diverse and i get anywhere from a nice overdrive sound to a full on freak out fuzz. Ill try moving it in ym chain to the beginning.....
I took my LP out of the case for the first time in a few months the other night. Perfectly in tune. Even the G string which always looks for a reason to go out of tune.mf wrote:that would be purty.ABNorman wrote:My dream guitar is a Pelham blue SG, but I can never hunt a decent one down.mf wrote:Funny that this forum seems to lean so heavily towards Fender.wease wrote:Finally, a Gibson man!
I do love my SGs, even though LP-style guitars make up the bulk of my collection. I've got an cherry Epiphone G400 that i put EMG's into many years ago which i eventually modded to run at 18v instead of 9v so they have a much broader dynamic range. Pretty much the only way EMG's sound good.
My other one is a black 2000-ish Gibson that is a freakin workhorse. It's my #1 go-to. It's banged up and the finish is a mess and i'm pretty sure it suffered a neck crack at the headstock that was expertly repaired (before it came into my possession) but it sounds incredible, always stays in tune and is a dream to play. The 498T in the bridge was getting a little microphonic so i repotted it last weekend and it's back to normal again.

After playing a gig last year in which I ended up standing in the same spot with my LP over my shoulder the entire time, I started to really appreciate the attractiveness of the Strat.Strat wrote:wease wrote:I took my LP out of the case for the first time in a few months the other night. I played a 50's gold top once in a recording session. That was fun. However, most other LP's just haven't felt so great in my hands. I mean, i grew up always wanting one but as ive aged they have become the least attractive guitars for me.
I mean, least attractive for most awesome. You'll never catch me with an Ibanez and shit.
