Turns out he doesn't know even a little bit about rivalries.
He denies it. Family denies it. Witnesses say they saw no wrongdoing. He's cooperating with police and the NFL.
Maybe nothing happened. But these are tricky situations and I'll wait to see what the investigations find.

Honestly though I'm less excited about this year; it's a part of a larger trend of my waning interest in sports in general.
