I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. I might be the only person in this thread who has been excited about & looking forward to this movie from the beginning.
How's it feel to be wrong from the very start?durdencommatyler wrote:I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. I might be the only person in this thread who has been excited about & looking forward to this movie from the beginning.

Predisposition and bias. That way you can both relate.durdencommatyler wrote:Who you gonna call?BurtReynolds wrote:how dare youdurdencommatyler wrote:I don't Burt, how does it feel?BurtReynolds wrote:How's it feel to be wrong from the very start?durdencommatyler wrote:I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
The movie might be terrible and if I think it is, I'll admit it. I'm not going automatically like it no matter what.McParadigm wrote:Predisposition and bias. I'll take it!tragabigzanda wrote:I can't claim to be excited, but I've been looking forward to this ever since Kate McKinnon was cast.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. Why would you want to do this to yourselves?E.H. Ruddock wrote:So a friend of mine, who I consider a movie "snob", just called me for our annual bad movie date. He wants to see this. Sigh. I guess I'm seeing this in the theaters.
The bright side is, he also thinks it will be the worst movie of 2016.

Every year we both agree on the one movie we think will be the worst, and go see it together. I don't know why we do it, we just do. In hindsight I wish we could have agreed on Independence Day: Resurgence.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Why would you want to do this to yourselves?E.H. 100% agree! I think we've found our common ground buddy. Our friendship is about to explore new heights!tragabigzanda wrote:Man, I think McKinnon is a rare and special bird. I'll probably watch anything she's in for at least the next few years; she's one of a small handful of actors who I find so unique and pleasantly odd that I'm super excited to watch her career develop.durdencommatyler wrote:I'll take it!tragabigzanda wrote:I can't claim to be excited, but I've been looking forward to this ever since Kate McKinnon was cast.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. You're a good man, trag.
He really thinks this will be the single worst movie of 2016?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Every year we both agree on the one movie we think will be the worst, and go see it together. i could say the same to you. Obviously tastes are subjective but this looks objectively bad enough for me to use hyperbole in regards to it. I could still enjoy watching this but I won't pay for itdurdencommatyler wrote:You're smarter than that, Mecca.Mecca wrote:It looks like a contenderdurdencommatyler wrote:He really thinks this will be the single worst movie of 2016?E.H.
