Re: Arcade Fire
I finally listened to those SNL performances. Of course the album versions are going to bring more elements of the song out, but man I really liked "Afterlife".
I'm really, really excited for this.

I read a couple reveiws. It's not faring as well with the critics like their pervious three. Too lengthy and experimental some say.
Whatever. Bring it on.

I kind of wish I liked it more. It's good, but kind of unremarkable.

If everything is as good as Reflektor and Afterlife I'm a happy man.

REally? Aw man. I love Regina in the song (or is it Sarah or both?).harmless wrote:I kind of wish I liked it more. It's good, but kind of unremarkable.
I just see it as a sort of hymn or anthem for the Haiti people, especially after that earthquake.

Re: Arcade Fire
I'm pretty sure it'll grow on me. I have to sit with it, learn the lyrics, the concept with the rest of the album, etc.

I had never heard Regine speak English before that. I am reminded of the fact that I am a sucker for women with French accents.Harry Lime wrote:Did anyone ever post this?
